Food Allergy
If you note any food allergy reaction whenever you or your love ones ate certain food ... from rashes, cough to asthma and anaphylactic reaction ... confirm it with an allergy test ... besides taking food allergen off the recipe and menu ... you need to ensure that there are no cross contamination from the worktop to equipments used ... read labels of packaged products ... unsured don't use ... it can be life threatening for someone with severe allergy and anaphylactic reaction.
Pineapple Salted Fish Soup
Ingredients:
- 1 large ripe pineapple
- 1 salted fish
- 2 pcs dried assam skin, rinse
- 30 gm dried prawns, rinse, soak
- 150 gm shallots
- 50 gm garlic
- 3 red chilli
- 10 gm chilli powder
- ikan bilis stock cube or powder
- water
- oil
Procedure:
- wash pineapple ... skinned, removed core ... cut into bite size ... set aside ...
- skinned the salted fish ... washed and pad dry ... set aside ...
- peel and rinsed shallots, garlic, chilli ... cut into smaller pieces ...
- blend dried prawns, shallots, garlic, chilli, chilli powder with some water ... set aside ...
- fried skinned salted fish till crispy ... set aside ...
- fried the blended paste till fragrant ...
- add in the pineapple ... stir and mixed well with the fried paste ...
- add the fried salted fish, assam skin, ikan bilis stock cube or powder to taste
- add water to cover the ingredients ... bring to boil ...
- cover and simmer for about 15 mins or more ...
- pineapple soup is ready to serve when the soup taste sweet, sour, spicy and the pineapple and salted fish is soft
- sweet from the ripe pineapple, sour from the assam and spicy from the paste

- this is one of the dish that my late dad used to cooked for the family
- my mom in her 80s guided me thru cooking this dish
- have taken note and hope my family and friends can refer to this note when they want to cook this dish
